Yesterday a group of us walked the All Star Tour - the grassland prairies to the bluffs and back - and it was spectacular! Come join us and see, feel and learn more about the region! Today's hike was the ALL STAR TOUR! This tour really does have it all. From beautiful meadows to forested glenns, great architecture, historical artifacts, bluff trail, flora and more! The recent rains left us with terrific views, great waves and beautiful redwood views. Highly recommend this tour in the morning or for the sunset. Just terrific. Enjoy the slide show and photos The rains have come and they are on their way out! Clearing for a terrific weekend. Come on out and get some hiking in! Great day for wave/bluff hike - the Gualala River & Bluffs tour would be perfect for some great wave watching! Come join us! Had a WONDERFUL tour today. Following some Fall rains we had incredible waves... their crashing could be heard 2 miles up the ridge. This made for a spectacular day! You will see some photos of the eroded sandstone bluffs. The erosion is referred to as Tafoni, the Italian word meaning cavern. They look sort of like honeycombs - it is the sandstone that has been highly eroded into pits, knobs, ribs and ridges. Nature is truly a gift! This trail is the utmost STELLAR TOUR - Rich in history and beautiful at sunset. The trail end walk along the horse stables with the sunset view of the ridge line, with the finish at the White Barn to watch the colors of the sunset = Simply Awesome! Wish I had more shots of the Redwoods... but my files are a bit too big. Will try again later tonight! Thank you Harmony and Jane for joining me on this grand tour today! |
