What is a SPIRITUAL NAME
In the final closing of my Kundalini Teacher training I was given a spiritual name by my Teacher, Ravi Singh, an early student of Yogi Bhajan. By definition, a spiritual name is your very essence of being, it is the supreme Self within. When spoken, its vibration is a tool that helps to elevate your energy through the power of its nadh (inner sound current), and meaning. It is your spiritual soul identity that challenges you to live in your highest consciousness. AMRIT SHAKTI represents for me conscious action - not just a name or symbol to hide behind. To me it is manifesting all that I am and to accept the name (either literally or spiritually) is the inner code I strive to live by.
TRANSLATION OF AMRIT SHAKTI KAUR
AMRIT translates as the sweetness of Self as well as the "nectar of the Name" or "ambrosial nectar". Amrit references the Guru Gobind Singh who created "amrit" as a form of baptism. When a person takes Amrit they commit to living dharmically. It is the sweetness of the PATH OF HEART. AMRIT speaks significantly to my inner passions that moved me to create UNBEATEN PATH TOURS. Amrit literally is my PATH OF HEART.
SHAKTI is the eternal feminine, the source of ALL ENERGY. It is potential manifested, it is creation. This name represents for me my ever evolving potential that I strive to manifest each and every day. SHAKTI it is how I adapt and work through all that I do, most especially in the journey of my Path and Unbeaten Path Tours. It is my gift within - it is what comes naturally.
KAUR is the surname to the Spiritual Name given to women. It represents Spiritual Royalty. For me, it means to walk, work and live with integrity and grace.
